Whilst some Ghanaian musicians have opened their doors waiting for political parties to call on them, gospel musician Cindy Thompson has vowed not compose a song for any political party.

The “Awurade Kasa” hitmaker in an interview with Andy Favoured on Accra FM’s Gospel 360 entertainment show made a solemn pledge that no amount of money would change her mind to write a song to work in an organized and active way towards the goal of any political party.

When asked if she will do the job when she is approached with $2 million, she answered that “I will never do that. God gives me the songs so when they come, He tells me what to do with it.

As at now I can’t count the number of people who have put pressure on me to write such songs. I’ve many songs but if I release them, it doesn’t mean its for a certain party.”

She said she has no problem if other musicians will devote their time for such songs because “everyone and his vision”. She further refuted claims that her song “Awurade Kasa” was written for NPP. According to her, she hid herself for two years from the political party after they used her song for campaign.
