Thieves Have no respect for law enforcement administrators and some even gather enough courage to break into the residence of the Elmina Community Tribunal Chairman, Mr. Anthony Agbezin to steal his personal effects and cash of about ?2 million.

The tribunal chairman on Monday, May 7, left home as usual for work only for the thieves to take advantage of his absence to ransack his residence by destroying the door and windows to gain entry into the house situated at Elmina Estate.

They made away with his Samsun Video Deck, a decoder, a quantity of cloths including a number of Kente and Adinkra and cash of ?1.9 million. Speaking to the Chronicle in an interview in Elmina almost a week later, Mr. Agbezin stated that the area in which his residence is situated has many unemployed youth and suspected that some of them might have formed a gang to break into his house to steal. According to him, the thieves broke the main entrance door and windows of the house to ransack the building because there was nobody at home as at the time, about 11.00am, when the robbers struck.

Mr. Agbezin stated that he had already reported the case to the Elmina Police, who are investigating but no arrest has, so far, been made.
