This weekend on Viasat 1

This weekend Ghana’s Number 1 Entertainer Viasat 1 will show FOUR of Hollywood’s impressive pieces. Starting tonight at 10pm romantic comedy RUMOR HAS IT will hit your screen in all grandeur. In this 2005 hit Sarah Huttington (Jennifer Aniston), recently engaged, goes home with fiancé Jeff for a family wedding. But Jeff's clever counting makes Sarah realize her dad Earl isn't her biological father. She hears a rumor that "The Graduate" (book and movie) are based on her family. Did her grandmother and her mom have flings with the same man just before her parents married? Is she a strange man's child; does this explain why she doesn't fit in? Was her mother happy? Is she too facing a loveless marriage? Where can she seek answers: her mother's dead, her father's a pleasant naïf. Ask her salty grandma? Better to ask the man in the triangle, the real Benjamin Braddock. With Jeff's blessing, Sarah heads out to look for the key to her past and to her future, which may well cost her Jeff. RUMOR HAS IT shows Thursday 30th September 2010 at 10pm. And then on Friday night the story set in 1962 Louisiana- EVE’S BAYOU takes you on an emotional journey of family secrets and lies. In this dramatic tale, in rural Louisiana beside Eve's Bayou the Batiste family tries to survive the secrets they've kept and the betrayals they've endured. Louis Batiste (Samuel L. Jackson), the local town doctor with a special bedside manner, is a loving father and philandering husband. His wife Roz (Lynn Whitfield) is forced to admit her family is falling apart when her younger daughter, Eve (Jurnee Smollett), witnesses one of her father's infidelities. Struggling to make sense of what she has seen, Eve turns to her older sister Cisely, who dismisses her in fear of the truth, and then to her Aunt Mozelle (Debbi Morgan), a known psychic and rumored black widow. Unable to find the understanding she is looking for, Eve decides to take matters into her own hands. As the heat rises so does the tension. For the Batiste family, the ties that bind may not be strong enough to keep them together, and what they learn will change their lives forever. THE MATRIX REVOLUTIONS makes it at 9pm on BLOCKBUSTER MOVIE OF THE WEEK on Saturday 2nd October 2010. In the final of the matrix movies, Neo discovers that somehow he is able to use his powers into the real world too and that his mind can be freed from his body, as a result of which he finds himself trapped on a train station between the Matrix and the Real World. Meanwhile, Zion is preparing for the oncoming war with the machines with very little chances of survival. Neo's associates Morpheus and Trinity set out to free him from The Merovingian since it's believed that he is the One who will end the war between humans and the machines. What they do not know is that there is a threat from a third party, someone who has plans to destroy both the worlds.

And on the first day of the 40th week of the year Viasat 1 brings you another Clint Eastwood classic BLOOD WORK. In this Action/crime movie Retired FBI profiler Terry McCaleb (Eastwood), who has recently had a heart transplant, is hired by Graciela Rivers (De Jesus), to investigate the death of her sister, Gloria, who happens to have given McCaleb his heart. On the case, he soon deduces that the killer, who staged the murder to look like a random robbery, may actually be a serial killer Terry was trailing for years in the FBI. Can the elderly and feeble McCaleb, who had intended to spend his retirement living on his boat in the Los Angeles harbor, and who can't drive, and has to nap regularly, muster up the endurance to find the killer? BLOOD WORK shows Sunday 3rd October 2010 at 9pm.
