Kokoveli, the finest and the youngest hiplife artiste on the Ghanaian music scene today is making it big with his new album titled, African Woman.

Kokoveli, though young, is among the galaxy of few young artistes who have shone brightly and known within and outside the shores of Ghana. It is his lyrics and unique dancing style that have won him enough public admiration.

Born in Kyebi in the Eastern Region of Ghana and schooled at Mfatsipim Secondary School, Kokoveli had the dream of making it to the top in future. He started his music career whiles in school where he performed with friends.

He was among the group named Trinity, which comprised of himself, Batman and K.K Fosu. The group came out with the rollicking "Zaaza" track. But after a single hit album, the members decided to go solo. However, the split has not dwindled his talent.

He has two successful albums to his credit. The current album titled African Woman is causing a big stir on chart shows on radio and television.

According to him, he chose the title to appreciate the beauty and effort of the African woman in the society. Nonetheless, he said he wanted to break bounds to capture listeners across Africa for his music.

He likes listening to reggae music or sleeping if he is not doing anything.

Kokoveli would not be doing music for the rest of his life. He plans continuing his education this year. His advice to upcoming artistes is to be courteous and slow down their haste in life since "you can not reign for life. That is the nature of music," he added.
