Popular Ghanaian Dancehall musician, Shatta Wale, has stated that fellow music artiste, Tic Tac, can never release another hit song.
His claim comes after Tic Tac called for his arrest, following a shooting incident.
Shatta Wale is alleged to have been captured on video, firing gunshots in the air.
Information available to YEN.com.gh shows that he claimed the gunshots were directed at Wizkid, Patoranking and Timaya, all of whom are Nigerian music artistes.
Reacting to the call for his arrest, Shatta Wale allegedly stated that Tic Tac’s style is no more in demand. He added that the “Philomena Kpitinge” hit maker would find it difficult to produce another popular song.
Shatta Wale went on to say that inasmuch as he is excited for Tic Tac as a result of his recent legal victory, he deserves it, as he has never made such as amount in his career.
“Tic Tac feels big after making only GHC 300,000 (from Melcom). He will spend the money on payola. Even his style has expired. Even Busta Rhymes has changed his style”, he said.
An Accra High Court, on Friday, 17th November 2017, ordered the Melcom Group to pay Tic Tac a sum of GHc300, 000 in damages. This was with respect to the use of his image to promote their products.
According to the court, the company failed to seek the musician’s permission before using his image. Shatta Wale added that “Ghanaian musicians are our own downfall. If you don’t like the way I speak about my issues, go and sit at home”.
