Mon, 16 Aug 2004 Source: ghanamusic.com

Tinny Tinny was pulled out of the Kora search for the most promising West African artiste after so much noise had been made about his inclusion and possible victory. The news came at the latter stage of arrangements that Mzbel was supposed to replace Tinny. Though there was no announcement to that effect from the event organisers, most people only heard it in the form of breaking news from Prime Eye on Radio Gold?s Solid Gold Countdown.

The Kora search for the most promising west African artiste took place in studio B of TV3 and was magnificent with the power behind the performance; Charter House.

As it is with every event it had its high and low points. The MC's Kwame Fakye and Eddie Blay were thrilling and shinning bright. Performances by nominees captured great attention and admiration.

Batman kept the audience wondering what was going on when he yelled mic? mic? mic. Its possible the stage monitors went off because he was apparently not hearing himself. Orcyno's disc kept on skipping and both artistes had to perform again. No one has explained how come the English speaking West African countries had two representations unlike the French speaking who had single. May be its too early in the day lets wait to hear it from the horse?s own mouth.
