"Good Music depends on a good instrumentation" but in our case, Ghanaians don't regard instrumentalist and appreciate their work as a profession, George Forest tells listeners of the award winning entertainment show Storm 101.9fm Entertainment Extra in an exclusive phone in interview with Dj Murphy Lee .

The Vodafone Ghana Music Award best sound engineer for the year 2015, was in the news last two weeks calling for help for instrumentalist in Ghana , expressed sadness in the way instrumentalist are being paid and treated before ,during and after playing events or shows.

This call however took minds back to this year's VGMA event which had all artist billed to perform played live , the big questions here is ,How much were this instrumentalist paid? How were they treated? Well until then lets hear more from Mr. Forest.

"Music is dying , young ones are no longer learning instruments , our current artist also are being lazy and are just recording their voices without any musical techniques", He lamented,

The genius sound engineer went on by saying its rather sad to see well renowed and self acclaimed musicians in our music industry now a days who can't perform live , look at the old musicians they were able to play one or two instruments and that enhanced their capabilities of playing live band music , which was enough medicine for the down hearted and soul enriching tonic for workers filled with stress.

"Our current musicians don't know anything " he said ,busting into laughter, common microphone technique is a huge problem for these new artist.

Mr Forest appealed to parents to allow their children learn and have interest in the playing of instruments, he called on event organisers to also have a re-think on the money they pay instrumentalist and live band musicians.

And pleaded for their work to be seen as a profession and not just a God given talent.
