Ghana is excited to host a concert of renowned Togolese artiste, King Mensah, tomorrow, 24th May 2016 at Alliance Française of Accra.

King Mensah also known as the ‘King of Togolese music’ will be on stage with Amen Viana, another Togolese musician, to promote the latest’s album titled ‘Electric Togoland’ which was completed in the Happy House Studios in Paris.

Nicknamed “The Golden Voice of Togo”, King Mensah sings in Ewe and French and he uniquely fuses elements of traditional Ewe music (Agbadza and Akpessé), and Kabye dance-drum music, with funk, reggae, and West African Afropop.

Adjoa Sika, as well as other special guest artists, are also expected at the concert.

Note that the Album which intends to display the rich Togolese cultural values constitutes a cocktail of the traditional Togolese music that nourished Amen’s childhood.

Anchored in African groove, the recording is replete with Togolese songs and blues, melancholy airs as well as unfettered rock ‘n’ roll.
