Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Catherine Afeku has revealed that her ministry has secured a licence to operate a Tourism TV.

According to her, the novelty seeks to project the integral aspects of the Ghanaian indigenous culture.

Addressing pressmen in a media encounter in Accra on Monday, 29 January, Ms Afeku also disclosed that 33 sites have been selected to execute tourism attraction projects.

According to her, cabinet has already approved a draft Legislative Instrument (LI) which is be reviewed by the Attorney General and will soon to be presented to Parliament for endorsement for takeoff.

She also promised a world-class cocoa museum to be established at Mampong Akuapem in memory of the late Dr Tetteh Quarshie who is credited for the introduction of cocoa to Ghana.

In addition, the minister said a paragliding school is being established to train locals for deployment during the annual Paragliding Festival in the Eastern Region.

She noted that Ghana will host the West African integrated forum in March 2018 in Accra to identify a common denominator to ease the promotion of tourism within the West African sub-region.
