The Leadership of Ashanti Traditional Music Group is inviting its members for a deliberation and compilation of songs to herald the need for peaceful and credible elections this year.
The move follows the Groups' decision to promote peace and credible elections.
According to a leading member of the Ashanti Traditional Music Group Evans Kwaku Atwere, it’s in the interest of the Group to support peaceful elections in Ghana, a cause the Traditional Music Groups has been very committed to for a couple of years ago.
In an interview with De-majesty Kamil Umar of SeanCitygh.com Kwaku Atwere said the compilation will include an All Star song which will feature some of the leading traditional musicians.
He revealed that, the Group will hold a series of nationwide Peace Walks, from 14th to 15th July to herald the need for violent free and credible elections under a program dubbed “Using Music as a Tool for a Peaceful Election 2016
