Traditionalists advised against adulterating the nation's cultural

heritage

Tema Manhean, Aug 13, GNA - Mr Samuel Evans Ashong Narh, the Tema Municipal Chief Executive, has called on traditionalists to preserve the nation's cultural heritage for posterity.

He said any attempt to adulterate the rich heritage would be a great lost to Ghana.

Mr Narh was speaking when he presented 10 million cedis, six crates of minerals, six cartons of beer and a carton of schnapps, on behalf of the Tema Municipal Assembly, to the chiefs and people of Tema for the celebration of the annual Homowo festival at Tema Manhean. Sheikh I. C. Quaye, Greater Accra Regional Minister, who also made a personal donation of one million cedis, six crates of minerals and two bottles of schnapps for the occasion commended the chiefs and people for ensuring peace and stability in the area.

Osongar Nii Adjei Kraku 11, chief of Tema, expressed his appreciation for the gifts and urged the Government to promote the development of the Municipality and the nation as a whole.
