Ghana's youngest prophet, Ernest Obeng-Boateng, has prophesised that this year (2002) the whole world will be engulfed and plagued with terrible tragedies, wars, bloodshed, disasters and mayhem.
He said every part of the globe will be afflicted by one disaster or another. There will be chaos, crisis and instabilities throughout the world this year. Virtually no country will be spared.
Prophet Obeng-Boateng, Founder and Leader of Mount Zion Prayer Ministry at Abeka Lapaz, Accra has been revealing this message since December last year. He said Ghana will also have a share of the calamities but it will not be as devastating and severe as in other countries. This is a manifestation of Almighty God's love for Ghana.
He said, "my brother, my sister, it is not Prophet Obeng-Boateng who is saying this. It is a revelation by God. I am only an instrument of God.
Prophet Obeng-Boateng appealed to all Ghanaians irrespective of their religion to pray to God for salvation and to mitigate the effects of the disasters on the country and other parts of the world.
He emphasized, "I am telling all of you these things will come to pass. God's message does not come by chance."
He also stated that although the Kufuor administration inherited an economic mess and a deplorable financial state of affairs, the biggest problem facing the government is spiritual.
He said for a very long time the satanic and demonic influences have beclouded almost every fabric of the nation's life through blood sacrifice, practising of juju and serving other gods by some of the nation's past leaders. This is having a very serious effect on the nation.
He advised President Agyekum Kufuor and members of his government to always dedicate and devote themselves to the Almighty God. It is only through the power of the omnipresent God that all demonic influence and attacks on the country can be dispelled.
The young Pastor advised that every Cabinet Minister should have a daily devotion with members of their family. Cabinet, he stated further, must devote one hour every week to holding prayers for God's guidance and protection.
Prophet Obeng-Boateng re-iterated that it was God who installed J.A. Kufuor as President of Ghana; therefore, he and his government should never forsake him.
He requested all pastors and members of the Mount Zion Prayer Ministry to pray daily for the success of President Kufuor and for prosperity, stability and peace for Ghana. The prophet pleaded that God will thwart efforts of unpatriotic citizens who plan to bring mayhem to the nation and reverse the clock of progress and prosperity.
He said all the negative activities of these people will fail because it was God who installed His Excellency John Agyekum Kufuor as the President of the Republic.
