Comedian, Afia Schwarzenegger has asked the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for equal treatment for all persons in the security service in order to help fight corruption in the Ghana Police.

According to her, it is a laudable initiative by the President to organize a State burial for Major Mahama Maxwell and also planting a seed fund for his family but same should be replicated for the family of the Policeman who was shot by his colleague.

She indicated that replicating what the government did for Major Maxwell Mahama for the deceased Police will help fight corruption in the Police because they will not feel discriminated against.

“Mr President you promised to fight corruption but do you now understand why our men in black are so corrupt. If 1 is buried as a hero and other as a common criminal..hmmm.And why is the police force boasting of that 10,000ghc when this man was actually shot by his own colleagues. If we want our police force to be disciplined like our military men then we better treat them equally.”

She indicated that to help fight mob action, it is imperative that the Police should be encouraged and treated fairly in all their dealings so they will be motivated to do more for the people of the country.

“To end mob injustice we need to trust the police but a hungry is an angry man…if we dont treat them well they wont stop begging criminals for money. Thank you for taking time to read the truth…My name is Afia Schwarzenegger…And i stand for equality before the law. Good evening Ghana!”
