The 18th edition of the Ghana Music Awards comes off this Saturday, April 8 at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) in Accra.

On Saturday night, the Charter House event will seek to reward deserving players in the entertainment industry. Many are the cotroversies that have dogged the Awards ceremony over the years but that appears not to be a bother for many as scores eagerly anticipate who wins the coveted Artist of the Year title.

While rapper EL is hopeful of making history by taking home the award for the second time in a row, others believe it may be time for Stonebwoy to have another taste of success as the first Dancehall artist to win the title twice in three years.

Singer Mzvee has been tipped by some pundits as a contender who may well pull a surprise though the odds in that regard appear to be in favour of Medical.
