Ghanaian young rapper and a “Grind” hitmaker, Kwesi Arthur, was Sunday evening up the trends on Twitter in Ghana as he was up against South African’s SJAVA, Nigerian’s Niniola and eight others for the Viewers’ Choice Best New International Act for the 2018 Black Entertainment Television (BET) Awards.
Unfortunately, Kwesi Arthur lost to South African’s SJAVA in the BET Awards night held Sunday, June 24, at Los Angeles in the United States of America in the Microsoft Centre.
The 2018 VGMA award winning rapper has since his nomination for the BETs enjoyed massive support from fans especially on social media which has been glittery with solidarity messages.
Kwesi Arthur is widely known in the Ghanaian music industry for his “Anthem” song and “Grind Day Remix”, which won him the Hiphop song of the year in the 2018 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
Meanwhile, Nigerian Singer, Davido won the main “Best International Act” Category.
The Category formerly separated as Best International Act (Africa) & Best International Act (UK) was merged ahead of the 2018 BET.
