Wassa-Asendua (W/R) April 11, GNA- The Chief and elders of Wassa-Asendua in the Amenfi East District of the Western Region, have banished two women from the predominantly farming community due to their frequent quarrels that had become a nuisance to the people.

When the two unidentified women between 30 and 35 years were summoned before the chief, Nana Gyedua Ampim II, at the weekend, they were ordered to leave the town and not to return again.

The older of the two accused the younger sister of her foe that she transforms into a man and have sexual intercourse with her spiritually each night she slept.

Nana Ampim said in January this year, the complainant inform him about her suspicion but due to lack of evidence the two women were invited, counselled while the case was dismissed.

He said the complainant re-enforced her suspicion by claiming that as a result of the spiritual sexual contacts she had suffered bruises in her private part, which was causing her considerable pain and threatened to attack her suspect.

Nana Ampim said the younger of the two banished women also threatened to poison the complainant for accusing her sister as a witch.

He said in order to forestall any unpleasant situation he and his elders decided to banish the two, who he said had decided to comply with the decision.
