It’s the break of a new dawn and with it comes the craziness of the neighbourhood: Auntie Peace is raining curses because her Christmas chicken is missing; Nhyira is asked to stay away from Serwaa, the girl he loves; and two men are fighting over Oboshie’s baby. Meanwhile, Serwaa has a secret from her past that is chasing her, and the preacher knows more than they think he does!

This is the crux of Uncle Ebo Whyte’s 58th play, "I Want to Feed You," set to be staged by Roverman Productions at the National Theatre on September 6th, 7th, 8th, 13th, 14th, and 15th, 2024.

Born James Ebo Whyte on July 20, 1954, in South Suntreso, a suburb of Kumasi, Uncle Ebo Whyte has become a defining figure in Ghanaian theatre. Raised by a fishmonger mother, Beatrice Aikins, and father A.B. Whyte, who worked with the Judicial Service, his journey has been anything but ordinary.

In 2008, he founded Roverman Productions, one vision of ensuring Ghana's theatre regained its former vibrancy. Over the years, the company has grown into a cultural powerhouse with key productions that have thrilled and inspired audiences for years.

Excellence has become synonymous with the Roverman brand, and, therefore, expectations are run high as he prepares to unleash his 58th play.
