Ghana is blessed with many beautiful places that serve as tourist destinations and the Western North Region is no exception.

Let me take you on a journey to explore some of the region’s most captivating tourist attractions:

1. Bia National Park

Created in 1935 and named after the Bia River, Bia National Park is a designated biosphere reserve covering a 563-square-kilometer resource area.

It preserves some of the last remnants of untouched forest in Ghana and is home to a full diversity of wildlife.

The park also boasts some of the tallest trees found in West Africa, making it a haven for nature lovers and researchers alike.

2. Bia Resort

Bia Resort is a hidden gem nestled in the lush forests near Bia National Park. Surrounded by nature, the resort offers a peaceful retreat for visitors.

Activities include guided nature walks, birdwatching, and wildlife spotting, all in their natural habitats.

It's the perfect escape for eco-tourists and adventure seekers.

3. Wassa Domama Rock Shrine

The Wassa Domama Rock Shrine, known locally as Bosom Kese, features a massive rock perched atop three others, forming a natural shelter nearly three storeys high.

Visiting the shrine involves a scenic hike through tropical jungles, traditional hamlets, and indigenous farms, an ideal experience for those with a love for culture and adventure.
