Flex newspaper has granted an interview with the ‘Fante Rap God’ Kofi Kinaata last week Tuesday in relation to how far he has come as an artiste and rumors in town that organizers of the Vodafone Ghana music awards has bought him a car with so much revelations.
“I started driving before this year’s VGMA, so all those saying VGMA organizers bought the car for me should stop because they didn’t contribute anything.
On what basis would they do that and if they did, they would have made it publicly for Ghanaians to know reasons why they are giving me a car. The car was bought by my manager, Tony Pun,” he said.
Though Kofi Kinaata refused to disclose the type of car, information from a reliable source has it that it is a brand new Sonata.
When asked if he knows that other artistes do perform his songs, he said: “Yes I do get information about that and when I hear people singing my songs, I feel motivated. Especially, a respected gospel artiste like SP Kofi Sarpong singing my song on a gospel platform is a privilege and I see it as a morale booster.”
“As time goes on, I get experienced in what I do as a musician and I think that is what is helping me now in my career,” he added.
He said moving forward, he would do songs that will be time – honored by the oldies and still serve the youth with what they want.
