Jerry Akaminko to Ghanaians: Happy Val’s day good people of Ghana. From my base in Eskisehir, Turkey, I can only reminisce the days I celebrated Val’s day in Ghana with fond memories. I know the celebration has actually been taken to another level. Seven years ago we were giving cards, now it starts from a Champaign or chocolate, to iPod, iPhone all the way to iPad, right until you realize your wallet is empty, and scream; ipaid! It’s all good since love remains the center of it. Would have loved to give every Ghanaian a special gift but I have decided to reserve it for June if given the chance.
