The first time reports were heard about the formation of the screen Actors Guild [S.A.G] there were clear indications that it will be a nine day wonder because the one, who brought the whole idea Van Vicker, was not able to spell out the main aims and objectives of the association.

Media people present were informed that the association will serve as a society which will help to solve the problems of actors who are always seen on screen.
