Radio and TV personality, Vanessa Gyan, is the new host of Live From The Capital on Live FM, and she is promising a total new direction to the show after taking over from previous host, AJ Sarpong.

AJ, who recently said goodbye to the EIB Network to join Citi FM, took over from original host and showbiz impresario, Kofi Okyere Darko (KOD), who has moved to Starr FM.

Vanessa said she is prepared to take the show to the next level as she hosts with DJ Mingle on Fridays from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.

“Once I was told I would be the new host I knew the direction I wanted to take the show and thankfully, DJ Mingle was on the same page as me.

We kicked off the show with Juliet Ibrahim and boyfriend Iceberg Slim

We’ve revamped the show and it’s all about getting your Friday night started off on the right note. It’s the pre-game before hitting town,” she told NEWS-ONE on Saturday.

The TV/radio communications and public relations degree holder is not new in radio presentation. She has a unique flair in the area.

She relocated to Ghana in September 2013 from the United States of America, where she was raised and worked. She first worked with Global Media Alliance as a TV presenter/producer at eTV Ghana, where she also debuted the female empowerment show, Sincerely, Vee (SV) while hosting and producing numerous entertainment shows and as a radio personality at YFM.

She joined the EIB Network in January 2016 and currently works with Live 91.9 FM and Ghone TV.

She previously hosted Trace Radio with Isaac Cool and dishing The Juice during Route 919 with Antoine Mensah.

“For me, it’s about work and the growth that comes with it. I’ve had the opportunity to work under extremely influential people since moving back such as Edward Boateng, who gave me my first opportunity with Global Media Alliance. Now, I get to see Bola Ray working firsthand. I’m learning more and more every single day from people who have made a mark in the media industry and it helps to keep me motivated. It drives me to work harder,” she said about her experience at EIB Network as compared to Global Media Alliance.

“No two experiences are the same but it’s about what you take from it,” she added.

Her TV show has been off for a while but she said, “Oh yeah. My TV show Sincerely, Vee will be back very soon. It’s being revamped. As a creative and someone who foresees years to come, I only want to put out excellent content; content that will change lives; content that will open the viewers mind; in-depth content.”

“The SV brand is about promoting female empowerment and self-love. With SV turning 8, we are also taking a huge step in the direction of Sincerely, Vee as a whole. While the focus will remain female empowerment, we will now be all-inclusive. I won’t say too much but it’s definitely an exciting time. I’ve been working day in and day out and my viewers and those who have been so supportive over the years won’t be disappointed,” she assured her followers.

“Also, I’m ending the year with the Post Pregnancy Boujie Express; an event geared towards expectant moms and post-partum moms. Pregnancy is such a beautiful experience and I want every woman to feel fabulous both during and after pregnancy. I’ve collaborated with Ridge Hospital for the event which will feature six phenomenal moms as keynote speakers who will each open up about motherhood touching on individual topics. The attendees will receive goodie bags filled with beauty products and much more,” she concluded.
