Sneaker staple Vans is starting the new year on a philanthropical note. The brand has teamed up with Della, an L.A.-based clothing company that provides employment and education to people in developing villages in Ghana.
The workers craft items with materials sourced from the surrounding region and receive a steady salary, healthcare and benefits, and literacy and skills training in return.
Della designed and crafted fabrics using traditional batik dyeing exclusively for Vans, which the brand then applied to its classic sneaker styles.
