Thursday, the 22nd day of November, 2012, will remain a memorable one in the hearts of many people who were at the main auditorium of the National Theatre in Accra, Ghana.
It was at the Musical Gala to mark the first anniversary of the re-opening of the Israeli Embassy in Accra.
It was an occasion which had one of Ghana’s finest Rocky Dawuni alongside Israel’s finest Idan Raichel on one stage to thrill the audience on the night.
Idan Raichel is an Israeli singer-songwriter and a musician, known for his Idan Raichel Project, distinctive for its fusion of electronics, traditional Hebrew texts, Middle Eastern and Ethiopian music. Prior to the Project, Raichel was a keyboardist, collaborating with artists such as Ivri Lider.
Rocky Dawuni is a Reggae artist, singer and songwriter from Ghana, in West Africa. He first appeared on the music scene in 1996 with The Movement; which was released on Aquarian Records. A video of What Goes Around rose on the Reggae Video Chart in January 1997.
