Video: Kan-I releases visuals for 'Medi Be Bom'

Seldom does a new artist burst onto the musical landscape with so much confidence and swagger. Seldom does such an artiste generate so much buzz and interest about his/her song and video.

One such artiste who has broken into the limelight with his hit song and video and is taking the industry by storm is singer/songwriter Kan-I.

Born Duke Tontoh, Kan-I’s hit single ‘Medi B3 Bom’ is fast becoming one of the hottest songs in the capital and beyond.

‘Medi B3 Bom’ is a seductive azonto song with catchy verses and hooks over a pulsating instrumental.

It was produced by the evergreen beat maker Kin Dee of bonsam ani(Guru) fame. The song features veteran rapper Tinny who delivered his usual catchy and infectious Ga raps.

The video for the song was also released a few weeks ago and is enjoying massive rotation on all TV stations and social media.

Directed by Phamous Philms, the captivating video is a colorful masterpiece set in a gym theme. It shows delectable women dancing and gyrating to the catchy hooks and verses of the hit song.

The video is definitely poised to shoot Kan-I into the upper echelon of musicians in Ghana and also win many awards.

Most new artistes have to struggle with mediocre videos in the beginning but Kan-I seems to have bypassed that stage and is aiming straight for the top.

Kan-I is the nephew of musical legends Mac Tontoh and Teddy Osei of the iconic band Osibisa. He has been composing his own music since age 14 and has Daddy Lumba,Tupac and Akon as his musical influences.

He attended St. Augustines in Cape Coast and holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Liberty University in Virginia,USA.

He is the co-owner of 64 Regiment Entertainment. Apart from music, Kan-I manages an NGO, Each One Reach One, and is also into agribusiness.
