Popular Ghanaian actor, Kwadwo Nkansah also known as Lil Win has dedicated an award he received at the GN Bank awards to ‘Dumsor’.
He made the dedication when he mounted the stage to receive the award for Sky Orange Productions’ movie, ‘Obroni Hiani’ which was adjudged ‘Movie of the Year’. Lil Win starred in the movie alongside Van Vicker.
“I dedicate this award to ‘Dumsor’ or ‘Dumsor Dumsor,” he said jokingly.
Ghana is currently experiencing a crisis, due to shortfalls in power generation, which has forced a rationing schedule dubbed “Dumsor”.
Before his dedication, the actor had entertained patrons of the show with his hilarious use of the English language.
“Good evening ladies and gentlemen. Everybody come here speak English, but to my ni**as on the block now I will speak English today. People learn from me,” Lil Win said.
Patrons of the event could not hide their excitement and laughed their hearts out as though they were going through laughter therapy to ease their stress.
The maiden edition of GN Bank Awards attracted thousands of patrons who were treated to splendid performances from celebrated musicians like Obaapa Christy, Joyce Blessing, Wiyaala, Efya, Raquel, Amakye Dede, and Shatta Wale.
