The most memorable X Factor act are back and they’re performing their brand new track in the studio.

Reggie N Bollie became known as the most enthusiastic act with their songs getting everyone singing and Cheryl dancing with the boys on stage, to which Simon Cowell observed drily: “I didn’t see you getting onstage with 4th Impact.”

Now they return with their brand new single New Girl, released today. Returning with the boys’ signature energy and enthusiasm, the new song’s a catchy afro-beat infused feel-good song and Lorraine thinks it might be a new summer anthem!

They two will also be performing at ITV’s High Street Fashion Awards.

Prior to their arrival in Ghana, they spoke to Antoine Mensah on the Lifestyle Cafe on Live FM about why they decided to shoot their video in Ghana.

“The great thing is the label said you know what, they’ve done a lot of research on our country Ghana. It’s a beautiful place, they just want to make sure our first video is able to communicate that to the world and so we it will be a lot of tourist attraction for different places. They are trying to capture the Ghanaian vibe, the atmosphere, that youthfulness and smiles on the faces of Ghanaians and we so proud that through us people get to see and experience the Ghanaian culture in a very positive way.”

Before Reggie Zippy and Bollie made it to the world stage as finalists on the reality music show, X Factor UK, they were champions in their own rights, boasting quite a number of hits songs on the Ghanaian music industry.

Early 2015, the two decided to work together and change their musical fortunes after a long break. They auditioned at Britain’s Got Talent but didn’t make the mark.

They decided to give music another shot, this time on X Factor UK. They impressed the judges and made it as one of 12 contestants, ultimately making it to the finale.

Simon Cowell after one of their performances tweeted: I LOVE Reggie and Bollie

They mashed up What makes you Beautiful with Cheerleader. Sounds crazy but it was fantastic.

Initially known as Menn on Point when they auditioned for the show, they changed their name to Reggie N Bollie. They are made up of Reggie Zippy, who is famous for the song ‘Virgin’ and Bollie of ‘you may kiss the bride’ fame, a song off a compilation project by veteran music producer Hammer.
