Video: Sometimes love has to be materialistic – Yemi Alade

Nigeria Music star Yemi Alade has maintained stance that material things are sometimes an important factor in a relationship.

The songstress, who is currently in London on a media tour to promote her new album 'Mama Africa', made this known during a visit to Tim Westwood’s Crib Studios in London.

Yemi, who was questioned on the reason she demanded a car from her man in her hit song 'Ferrari', noted that, "there comes a time in a girl's life when she says to herself 'sometimes love has to be materialistic'".

She believes men who spoil their women with gifts 'have something to show for in a relationship'.

Besides the Ferrari gist, the Johnny hitmaker spoke more about her album, her tour, Drake’s “One Dance” featuring Wizkid, food, Queen Latifah as an inspiration and more.
