Video: Stonebwoy talks music, Samini and Shatta Wale in Germany

LivingStone Etse Sakekla as known in real life, Stonebwoy while in Hamburg, Germany on his European tour, got locked up in an interview with Nkosuohene alias Francis Frimpong Manso.

The interview had issues based on his European Tour, his perceptions about Dancehall/Reggae music and other Ghanaian music genres as well as the Ghanaian Music Industry.

Meanwhile, Stonebwoy has been nominated in the 2014 Bass Awards with ‘Give it to them’ in the Dancehall Artiste(s) of the Year category and Dancehall Song of the Year respectively, Artiste of the Year (Kwame Nkrumah Award) category, ‘Go hard’ by Edem featuring Stonebwoy in the Best Collaboration of the Year (Dancehall) and in the Best Performer Of The Year category.

Also, preparations are being made towards the release of a new song when he returns from his tour in Europe.

Nkosouhene: Dancehall seems to have taken over the Ghanaian music industry now, what’s your take on the music industry?

Stonebwoy: For how old I am, I can only say things that are of my age. I grew up listening to Adjoa Yankee (by Papa Yankson) and then also, Ghanaians love Gospel music so taking a critical analysis of the Gospel rhythms; they all comes with Reggae drop beat in them…
