Three months after winning the maiden edition of the Vodafone Icons: Divas Edition reality competition, R&M is now ready with their first professional single release.
The single titled “Let You Hair Down” (LYHD)” is not only expected to attract rave reviews from music industry watchers and analysts but is also expected to pave the way for the launch of the group’s debut untitled album which is currently in the works.
The song’s original version was earlier performed at the finale of the show and it garnered so much attention the group decided to make their first full single on a worldwide release.
To make that happen, they went back to Award winning producer Appiah “Appietus” Fordjour who made the original version and let him cook up a remix which is destined to shake up dance floors across Africa.
“LYHD is a metaphorical song that invites people to loosen up and have some fun anyway despite their hectic lives and its challenges” Stated Deniece Williams They also enlisted the skills of One Ghana’s hottest young producer’s Elorm “EL” Adablah to create an R&B flavoured remix and added that to original cut to create a 3 song Single.
“We want to send a strong message out there to all our fans who can be found in all age groups, that’s why we fused different musical styles in the remixes” added Stephanie Lindsay The video for the song has been shot already by Nana Kofi Asihene of NKACC and is currently undergoing final editing, for release in the coming days “This is an invitation for Ghana and Africa to come out and party with us through this song and we know they would” commented Natasha Dede The group is already in touring mode combining rehearsals and recording of their new material for their album.
