Ghanaian movie producer and actress Kafui Danku has announced that the next National Democratic Congress (NDC) government plans to establish a creative arts fund to support both new and existing creative enterprises.

Speaking at the NDC Youth manifesto launch in Accra on August 12, 2024, Kafui Danku encouraged those in the creative arts sector to vote for the NDC, stating the party's commitment to investing in their development and craft.

"A creative arts fund will be instituted to offer sustainable financial support to start-ups and existing creative enterprises. The upcoming elections are an opportunity for creative people to choose a government that cares and invests in their development," Danku stated.

Additionally, she revealed that the NDC government aims to set up a world-class movie studio to enhance the quality of local content and meet global standards.

"The NDC government plans to empower young artists and facilitate the export of culture and artistic growth. John Mahama would also establish a world-class studio where we can produce quality content to match global standards," she added.

Kafui Danku recently announced her endorsement for former President John Dramani Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for the upcoming December 7, 2024 elections.

In an interview with Hitz FM’s Doreen Avio, Danku praised the NDC's proposal for a 24-hour economy, highlighting its potential to create jobs and address economic challenges.

Danku's endorsement comes as the NDC campaigns for significant economic reforms, with Mahama competing against Vice-President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Nana Kwame Bediako, and Alan Kyerematen.
