D2, Ghanaian based music groups made up of Genesis and Duke have denied allegations that, their new style of creating music is a stolen gift. The group revealed that, when they were recording ‘Di Asa’ with Appietus they needed something that will give them a niche in the music industry, so together with Appiah Danquah, thee came out with the beat boxing.

‘Is an old unique way of making beats, we know, but we stand for uniqueness plus these days the old style of entertainment is coming back, so we decided to inculcate it into our music, Genesis, a member of the group lamented. Adding his voice, Duke, the other member said, we did not only do the beat boxing in ‘Di Asa’, we added it in our ‘Me di be bom’ single which was recorded by Kill beats of Tema, hence we want fans to be clear, the beat boxing is our style.

For some time now the oldies kind of showbiz style is coming back into the system, check your designer and you will understand what these guys from hype records mean.

D2 is bringing back the old known beat boxing into our system. The road is clear now D2’s official style is beat boxing, anything you hear a song from D2, you will find beat boxing and they did not steal it, they played smart with it.
