The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) launched its Youth Manifesto ahead of the 2024 general elections in a vibrant ceremony held in Accra.

The event, which took place at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) on August 12, 2024, was marked by a notable and electrifying performance by Ghanaian Afrobeats sensation Olivetheboy.

The 21-year-old artiste, whose real name is Joel Ofori Bonsu, captivated the audience with his hit song ‘Goodsin.’

His surprise appearance was a highlight of the event, leaving NDC supporters and executives thoroughly entertained.

Olivetheboy's energetic three-minute performance had the predominantly youthful crowd on their feet, dancing and singing along to the popular track.

Also at the event, Ghanaian movie producer and actress Kafui Danku announced that the next National Democratic Congress (NDC) government plans to establish a creative arts fund to support new and existing creative enterprises.

She also revealed plans to set up a world-class movie studio to enhance local content quality and meet global standards.

Additionally, NDC flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, assured that no Ghanaian youth will be left behind in job creation if the NDC assumes office.

He highlighted his '24-hour' policy, which aims to create jobs through a three-shift system and promised to meet the expectations of stakeholders who support this policy, ensuring that all young people will benefit from the job opportunities created.

The promises come as the NDC campaigns for significant economic reforms, with Mahama competing against Vice-President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Nana Kwame Bediako, and Alan Kyerematen.
