Watch Samini’s legendary performance at the 2019 MUSIGA Presidential Grand Ball

After thrilling the audience at the 2019 MUSIGA Presidential Grand Ball on Sunday, April 7, patrons wouldn’t let him go.

The legendary dancehall talent, Samini, brought the roof literally crashing down with a performance that got both President Akufo-Addo, the First lady and others dignitaries singing along with him. He just had a connection with all patrons present at the Grand Ball.

The CEO of High-Grade Family, gave an exciting performance of his back to back tunes from his recent “Untamed” album which got patrons on standstill calling for more.

The crowd enjoyed every single song he plunged – “Obaa,” “My Own”among others when he stormed the stage.

Samini Dagaati started singing in the church choir at the age of 14, and became a professional musician after a musical collaboration with other musicians in 1999.

Samini’s debut studio album ‘’Dankwansere’’, released in 2004, topped the local music chart for two weeks and won two awards at the Ghana Music Awards. The album was supported by the single ‘’Linda’’.

Since then he has released three subsequent albums namely Samini (2007), Dagaati (2008) and High- Grade (2014).

Samini is under the record label ‘’High Grade Family’’. Since then he has performed alongside foreign artistes such as Sean Paul, Akon, Shaggy, Kevin Little, Jay Z, Damien Marley, Bennie Man, Wayne Wonder, Chaka Demus and Pliers, Culture (of blessed memory), Etana and Steel Pulse from Jamaica.



He has also performed with some Ghanaian international artistes like the rap lord Sarkodie, the dancehall queen Kaakie, Stonebwoy, Muma Gee, Wizkid, Kwabena Kwabena and Elivava.

The sixth MUSIGA Presidential Grand Ball came off at the Accra International Conference Centre Sunday night.

There were amazing performances by Patience Nyarko, Adina and Tic Tac. Other performances were by Bob Pinodo, Asabea Cropper, Naa Amanua, Pat Thomas and Daddy Lumba who invited the Maestro Kojo Antwi on stage.



Present were the First Lady, Mrs Rebecca Akufo-Addo; the Vice President, Dr Bawumia and the Second Lady, Mrs Samira Bawumia; ministers of state, captains of industry, members of the diplomatic corps, musicians and MUSIGA executives.
