Since February 2024, Ghanaians have eagerly awaited the performance of the Ghanaian dance duo, Afronitaaa and Abigail, following their audition for the UK's renowned talent show, Britain's Got Talent.

On Friday, May 3, 2024, the show's organizers heightened anticipation by releasing a teaser of the duo's performance.

The long-awaited episode, featuring the 20-year-old mentor and her 9-year-old protégé, finally aired on Saturday.

Dressed in colorful yellow shirts and black pants adorned with Kente, Afronitaaa took to the stage with a Ghanaian flag in hand. She introduced the team, highlighting young Abigail's story as a hearing-impaired girl with a fiery passion for dance, which captivated both judges and audience alike.

At the judges' behest, the duo commenced their performance with Fuse ODG’s "Azonto" song, later transitioning to its remix.

The audience's enthusiasm grew as the routine escalated with Fuse's "Dangerous Love," featuring Jamaican dancehall artist Sean Paul.

By the conclusion of the nearly three-minute performance, the entire auditorium, including judges and audience, rose to their feet in a standing ovation, while the loudest cheers emanated from Afronitaaa's aunt and Abigail's mother in the crowd.

The judges—Simon, Amanda, Alesha, and Bruno—unanimously praised the performance.

Simon Cowell, known for his typically stern critiques, remarked, "What you've done as a mentor is just the most wonderful story. It really is. When this goes out, I truly believe your lives are going to change for the better. This is one of my favorite auditions of the year."

The video has since sparked a flurry of social media comments, with some users questioning why the judges did not award the duo a Golden Buzzer.

Others were quick to clarify that each judge is allotted only one Golden Buzzer, which had already been used prior to the duo's performance.
