Dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale, has been spotted in a viral video kneeling before the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, apologizing to him.
In the video shared by EDHUB on X on October 5, 2024, Shatta knelt before Mahama, who was sitting on a chair, asking for his forgiveness over anything he might have done that offended him.
The artiste mentioned that he does not want to begrudge the former president because it was through him that he secured his first house.
In response, Mahama urged Shatta not to fret because he holds no grudge against the artiste and will continue to be his son as it has always been the case.
In the course of the conversation, Mahama said, “Oh Shatta, there is nothing. You are my son; there is no issue. I will tell him that I met you. If you call and he doesn’t pick up, it means he was peeved. Don’t worry, I will talk to him.”
Afterwards, Shatta Wale responded, “I know, sir, thank you. Through you, I got my first house, so I don’t want to offend you. I have been calling him, but he doesn’t pick up the calls. I just wanted to engage you.”
It will be recalled that Rev. Lawrence Tetteh revealed that Shatta knelt and apologized to Mahama in an airplane during a trip they were embarking on.
