Though some Ghanaians prefer anything foreign regardless of its state, gospel artiste Rose Adjei thinks otherwise, saying Ghanaian musicians are better than most of the foreigners especially Nigerians. She disclosed this to www.flexgh.com
The gospel artiste believes so much that some of these Nigerian musicians don’t have anything so extraordinary to offer Ghanaians more than the Ghanaian musicians especially in the gospel fraternity.
Rose Adjei stressed that, Ghanaians in general don’t love or like their own no matter how good it is. They are so much interested in foreign things leaving their best to go waste.
According to her, Ghanaian musicians are branded enough to appeal to the world and even if they are not, she believes the necessary stakeholders would be able to help them achieve that.
When she was asked about the benefit she derives from Ghana Music Rights Organization (GHAMRO), the artiste in response said that she is content with the amount of money she receives from GHAMRO as a registered member. But she quickly added that moneys she receives from them could be increased if that is possible. She refused to mention the amount of money she receives from GHAMRO though.
She outbursts her issues with event organizers in the country and pleaded with them to take care of them, respect and bill them for shows, rather than going for a foreign artiste who has virtually nothing to offer or is just like the Ghanaian musician.
Meanwhile, the ‘Nsre hey hey’ singer has debunked rumours all over the place about her and gospel artiste Patience Nyarko that she (Patience Nyarko) is cheap and no man would want to marry her. She explained that Patience Nyarko is a friend though not a close one, the relationship that exists between them is cordial.
According to her, she does very good songs devoid of sarcasm but can’t really tell if any other gospel artiste is doing same. She also made it known that she is not the type of artiste who can be found all over the place especially if she has nothing to do as far as her ministry is concerned.
She commended her husband for the support he has given her over the years making her active which has helped in pushing her brand to another level.
