Organizers of the annual Kumawood Akoben Film Festival and Awards have rendered an apology to the general public for the inconvenience created at the 5th edition of the event.
The 2015 edition held at the Golden Tulip Kumasi City recorded some misfortunes which eventually led to some showbiz pundits and industry players chastising the organizers.
Among their misgivings was how the event started behind schedule and the earlier postponement of the event on two consecutive times.
Speaking in an interview with SeanCitygh.com the Chief Executive Officer of KAFF Awards, Mr. Samuel Kwabena Darko profusely apologised to all the industry players, including the media, bloggers, marketers, distributors, producers, directors, crew, actors and actresses over the poor organization they did towards the event.
"It was a high challenge, but we apologise to the public. We know some of you are disappointed, but we are hoping that things will get better this year."
Samdackus indicated that all criticisms from the public have been noted and as organizers, they would work on their shortcomings.
"We are putting together all criticisms and contributions so we improve this year. We had few challenges which we will make sure we work on," he noted.
He also refuted allegations that the awards is there to eulogize his whims and caprices.
