About 120 prostitutes who ply their trade at a popular hotel in Kumasi (name withheld) have appealed to the Minister for Women Affairs, Mrs. Gladys Asmah to give prostitution a much needed priority attention.

The "business" of prostitution, which is transacted in some of the prestigious hotels in Ghana have contributed immensely to minimize the rape, defilement and sexual harassment in the country, they contend.

There is a lot of money to be made in one's capacity as a full time prostitute serving in any of the prestigious hotels in Ghana since men of integrity, married and bachelors from all walks of life visit them at the hotels for pleasure and relaxation after a hard day's work.

Many a man is an animal with regards to his sexual habit, for he finds it very difficult to control his zippers.

One of the ladies serving as a professionally trained prostitute (name withheld) at the hotel at Dekyemso in Kumasi on Thursday said this is an interview with the paper.

To critics, she said that in-spite of the usefulness of prostitution to society, the "business" had been criticized from many quarters and this is rather unfortunate.

She explained that the men who find it very difficult to control their sexual desire should start advising themselves against rape and defilement, and that they are confidently waiting for interested men who would like to transact "business" with them.
