Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mark Okraku-Mantey, has called on Ghanaians to cast their votes in the upcoming December 7, 2024 general elections for the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

According to him, the NPP government has identified the various challenges of the country and the economy and as such would need additional time to resolve the identified issues.

Speaking with the media during the NPP’s manifesto launch in Takoradi, Okraku-Mantey explained that the NPP’s manifesto is basically made up of solutions to problems identified by the government in its over seven years of staying in power.

He said, “For eight years we have seen the ups and the downs. We know where the blacks are, we know where to fix. Continuity is very important. At a time like this, we have experienced lawyers, and all other forms of labour as our president, this is the first time we are going to get an economist. The whole world is fighting the economy and facing economic challenges.

“So, we are lucky that at a time the world is going through economic challenges, our candidate is an economist. ”

The minister who was a judge on popular music reality show, Mentor, was recently in the news after he revealed that his time as judge on the show is causing him difficulties currently.

His comment is a reaction to Nene Narh, a former Mentor contestant who called out the minister for rejecting him when he showed up for auditions on the show.
