We lied that Ex-President Rawlings was our father – R2Bees

Award-winning music duo R2Bees has said they once lied former President Jerry Rawlings was their father.

In an interview on Accra-based LIVE FM, the duo, who told stories of how they struggled in their early years of growing up, said it was one of the things they did to get out of trouble.

Paedae, the group’s other half told Live Breakfast Club host Ms Naa:

“We told some really tight lies back then as kids,” Paedae said.

“We used to tell people that Jerry Rawlings was our father,” Mugeez added.

Both had subsequently told Ms Naa how growing up in the Rawlings era was fun, adding they’ve so many memories of those years.
