Sugarcane hit-maker, Raphael Camidoh Kofi Attachie, stage-named Camidoh, has reiterated the need for more stakeholders to invest in the Ghanaian creative arts industry.

Speaking in an interview on Luv FM, the singer stated that the creative arts industry lacks investors as compared to the Nigerian music industry.

According to him, budgets allocated for music videos in Nigeria can produce a movie in Ghana.

"In Nigeria, their budget for shooting a music video is massive, if one takes a look at their budget, it can be able to shoot a Ghanaian film,” he said.

The "Dance with You" singer further called on his fellow industry players to ramp up activities by imitating their colleagues in Nigeria.

Camidoh also called on up and coming artistes to keep their heads up and carve a niche for themselves in order to stay relevant in the creative arts industry.

According to him, investing in his craft has been profitable to him, recounting how he used to sell sobolo, pure water, and asanaa in the Volta Region.

“To find a spot, you need to find that unique thing that nobody else can do,” he said.

Camidoh, known for his genre in Afropop, R&B, and Afrobeats, came into the limelight in 2021 after his hit single "Sugarcane" was received by music lovers.

The remix of the song, which featured King Promise, Darkoo, and Nigeria's Mayorkum, currently has a hundred million views on YouTube – being the highest obtained by any Ghanaian artiste.
