YEN.com.gh has sighted a video of two female Senior High School (SHS) leavers making very controversial statements following the release of this year's WASSCE results.
According to the yet-to-be-identified young ladies, they have excelled in the WASSCE and are going to get admission into the university.
To show their excitement, the two 'naughty girls’ have recorded a video to send a message to Legon boys that they are coming to the University in style so they should get ready for them.
"The results are out and we did well. University here we come. Yea, the chicks are coming to the university. The besties are gonna rob you...'Leg boys, we are coming to 'chop you,'" they are heard saying tin the video.
The University of Ghana is Ghana’s premier university and a hub for everything you can possibly find among students.
YEN.com.gh earlier reported that results for the 2018 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) have been released with the results of 26,434 candidates withheld due to examination malpractices.
"The withheld results of candidates will be cancelled if found culpable or released otherwise," WAEC revealed. In all, over 90,000 candidates failed their Core Mathematics paper while the performance at A1-C6 in Social Studies showed a marked improvement over that of 2017 (52.25% to 73.27%).
All candidates have been advised to contact their heads of school for their results. For those who may want to check it up online, they must visit WAEC's online website to access the results.
In 2017, the general performance of all 289,210 candidates was good as compared to the previous year of 2016.
In the area of Core Mathematics, exactly 122,450 candidates scored between AI and C6 with over 56,000 failing drastically.
Considering these negative statistics, one could understand the excitement of the two girls but even so, their celebration may have gone too far.
