Ghanaian musical duo and twin sisters, LalixLola, have shared an amusing story about how they found themselves attracted to the same boy.

During an interview on TV3 on July 25, 2024, the twins, while describing their close bond and similar tastes in lifestyle, recounted a humorous incident from their past involving two best friends.

Lali and Lola revealed that they both liked the same boy, the shorter of the two friends.

However, the taller friend had already shown interest in one of the sisters.

"The thing was, there's two of the guys, and they're best friends. So one is tall, one is short. So we both liked the short guy but the tall guy had called dibs on her."

The shorter friend, thinking the twins looked alike, decided to pursue the other sister as a second option.

When the twins discovered this, they quickly cut off communication with the two boys, calling it disrespectful.

Lali and Lola, known as Lali X Lola, are identical twin sisters from Cape Coast, Ghana, making waves in the music industry with their unique blend of Afro-fusion, Afro-soul, and Afrobeat. Initially dancers, they formally entered the music scene in September 2021 and quickly gained popularity on TikTok, reaching audiences both in Ghana and internationally.

Notable songs by the two include "JOHNNY" and "Hello." They describe themselves as "entertainment scholars," balancing their artistic pursuits with academic achievements, aiming to elevate Ghanaian music globally.

In 2024, the duo were nominated for the 2024 TGMA Unsung Artiste of the Year category.
