“When we got married, we didn’t really understand the meaning of marriage, especially for him (Afriyie Acquah),” Amanda Acquah said on GHOne’s Cheers show.
Amanda Acquah wife of Black Stars player Afriyie Acquah has disclosed they were both young when they married and had little knowledge about what they’d gotten themselves into.
“You know we are both young, we got married very early. We got married when I was 24 and he was 22.”
She said on GHOne’s Cheers show, Saturday that though they are separated, their marriage is still legitimate.
According to her, the separation became necessary since she felt Afriyie Acquah needed more time to learn about relationship and marriage.
“I think we need more time. The separation is what we needed. We need more time to grow, get more matured and understand each other.”
The marriage of Afriyie Acquah became major media headline after a leaked audio revealed that the wife of the footballer was cheating on him. The scandal caused a lot of bad press for the couple leading to their separation.
