Just when you think the heat is lessening between these two, something new just pops up and on and on it goes.

In the latest, Dancehall Act, Samini has ‘bashed’ self-acclaimed Dancehall King, Shatta Wale over comments he made to the effect that he (Samini) and some other colleagues in the industry are poor despite their claim of supremacy in the Ghanaian music industry.

Speaking to fans during his performance at the Zylofon Cash Activation Concert in Aflao, he said that majority of Ghanaian musicians are poor for which reason Zylofon Media has come to solve their problems.

"You see Zylofon, they come cure our problems for we, they say they no go come lie to Ghana artiste like some record labels," he said.

Reacting to the comments on the ‘E with Becky’ show Tuesday, Samini said Shatta Wale only made those comments because he is still yet to get to terms with how much wealth Samini has compared to him. It doesn’t make sense to him for someone to say that an artist like himself who has been making money as far back as 2001 is poor especially when it is coming from someone who only gained a ‘few coins’ in recent times.

‘Action speaks louder than words and that has been my brand so if you are sitting somewhere and you worry about me so much that you want to tell people my financial status actually as part of things you sit and worry about, that tells me that even the small money that you’ve gotten, you are wondering if that’s ever going to make you like me. That’s how I feel because before you got any money at all, you know we’ve been spending money and you’ve been saying it that we were the ones getting the money…..all of a sudden, you came, you saw, you got some, so if you’re going to call somebody that has been collecting money from 2001 and still collecting in 2018 a poor guy, that’s your opinion”, he told host Becky on the show.

He added, that he sees no reason in flaunting one’s wealth or possessions to the entire world to make a point, exactly why he can’t be the least bothered about what people like Shatta perceive of his financial status especially when he (Shatta) doesn’t in a single way contribute to that wealth.

“Just because someone doesn’t believe in using all of your money to do flashy stuff for people to think that you’re rich, so you are going to brand them poor, that’s your opinion but then when people see the individual, when they see a poor guy who’s having issues, you will know. I don’t let those things move me, I don’t let those things affect my emotions so that I go online and wanna respond. I know that I’m not poor and I appreciate and embrace everything that I have today and I say that I owe it to music and entertainment and fans who paid and supported us to where we are” he stated.

Samini further took the opportunity to counsel emerging artistes in the music industry to live within their means and avoid at all cost, creating ‘fake’ impressions to match up to the status quo; humility and ‘realness’ he says, is the only way a person in need would be identified and such a person helped accordingly.
