Musician and satirist, Kwame A-Plus has reacted angrily to news of attacks on the residence of New Patriotic Party (NPP) Presidential candidate, Nana Akufo-Addo, by persons alleged to be supporters of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC).

According to a report by myjoyonline.com, some NDC supporters undertaking a walk on Sunday allegedly veered off to Mr. Akufo-Addo’s Nima residence and tried to enter the house but met resistance from security men. They then pelted stones and broken bottles into the house causing some damage.

Police officers from the Nima police station which is a block away from the residence of the opposition politician intervened to ward off the attack.

Kwame A-Plus who is irked by the act is threatening that supporters of the NPP will not hesitate resist any oppression. According to him, the NPP will fiercely retaliate should NDC supporters perpetrate acts of violence.

“We don’t fear anybody. If you’re going jogging, do so peacefully. The national anthem says we should resist oppressors rule so if you try to oppress us, we will resist it. We are not in for violence but nobody will take anybody for granted. We are very charged…

“If you try to intimidate anybody, we will fight you. Look, we will fight with you. How many did Gaddafi even kill before he died? Even Sadam Hussein and others have died how much more John Mahama and his cohorts… You came to meet Ghana. Make sure the election is peaceful; don’t go and throw stones at Nana Addo’s house.

The people at Nana Addo’s house are not holding fork and knife. If you go and throw stones, they will defend themselves and it shouldn’t happen under John Mahama’s administration…. Mahama, you have to call for peace…. If you want us to stop the country and restart it, we will. We are not short of people who want to die for Ghana.

There are so many of us who want to die for Ghana…. If you try to intimidate us, we will fight you. Why go and throw stones at Nana Addo’s residence? What kind of barbaric attitude is that? Couldn’t you have passed without throwing stones? If you throw stone at Nana Addo, we will throw stone at Mahama,” he said in a Facebook live post.
