Weed smoking part of Kwaw Kese’s lifestyle – Wanlov

Weed smoking has long been part of the embattled Kwaw Kese’s ways of entertaining Ghanaians, controversial Afro-pop singer Wanlov De Kubolor has revealed.

According to him, the conduct for which ‘Abodam’ has been remanded for two weeks has been part of him for a long time.

“If it is ‘wee’ they caught him for and it is the same thing I’ve known him for all these years, that is part of his nature which he has been using to entertain Ghana” Wanlov told Accra-based Radio Universe.

He, however, feels the social media campaign dubbed #Freekwawkese may backfire as the Police may feel more inclined and pressured to prosecute the “Man insane” due to the public attention the movement is drawing to the matter.

“Right now I’m worried. I’m worried because I don’t know if I should have even started tweeting about it.

I now feel that maybe I made a mistake. It’s a mistake because the more light we give the issue, the more pressure the police will feel to prosecute him. The less attention on the issue, the less inclined it will be for them to collect something to let him go” he stated.

Abodam was arrested by the police in Kumasi on Saturday for allegedly smoking cannabis in public.

He faces up to 10 years imprisonment if convicted of the charges leveled against him.
