Father of late songstress Ebony, Nana Opoku Kwarteng, has stressed that no artiste can replace his daughter not even Rufftown Record’s new signee Wendy Shay whom many have described as a replica of the late songstress.
Wendy Shay works under the management of Rufftown Records, the record label that managed the late Ebony.
Many music lovers have said the new songstress is trying to imitate the late Ebony, with some believing she is set out to take the place of the late songstress.
According to Ebony’s father, Wendy Shay will be very great, and so far she is doing well, but his daughter was unique.
He made this observation while speaking in an interview with 3News.com where he said no one can ever do what his late daughter knows how to do best.
“Ohemaa is unique. She is in her own world and class. No one can replace her. Maybe, Wendy Shay could be greater…” he said.
Mr. Opoku Kwarteng added that Wendy Shay’s choice of management is hers to make and he has no comment on that.
He however said he knows she is talented and will be great.
Wendy Shay has currently won a lot of hearts in Ghana after releasing two hit songs titled ‘Uber driver’ and ‘Bedroom Commando’.
