What King Promise said about viral wedding video

In April 2024, netizens were left scratching their heads after a video suggesting Ghanaian musician King Promise had a traditional wedding went viral.

The video featuring several celebrities sparked speculation that it might be related to a music video.

Addressing the speculations in an interview on Hitz FM on May 22, 2024, King Promise hinted that the ceremony could be genuine and that he may have actually tied the knot.

"I never said anything about it being a music video. It was a real ceremony. Do you think we throw money away like that?

"I might be married. I just might be," he said.

He, however, refused to give any details about the ceremony but stated that the event was indeed genuine and not fake.

“I plead the 5th, but it was an actual event with a lot of my loved ones and family and friends,” he said.

“Everything will reveal itself very soon. I’ll unveil it but my private stuff remains private,” he added.

He further expressed contentment with the ceremony, calling it a "blessing" and a "beautiful thing."
